Does 501(c)(3) status make a coach tax-free?
No automatic vehicle exemption should be assumed. Federal tax-exempt status and state sales or use tax rules are separate. Confirm the specific vehicle transaction with your state's revenue agency and adviser before purchase.
Can members help fund our church's coach?
A church can consider a transportation giving campaign. The church should receive and administer gifts, issue appropriate acknowledgments, and consult its adviser on restrictions and donor tax treatment. We sell coaches; we do not collect charitable gifts for your church.
Can we finance or trade in our current bus?
Ask our team to discuss financing and trade-in possibilities. Financing requires lender approval. Trade-in value depends on condition, ownership, liens, and market demand; confirm the net value in writing.
Do we need a full-size motorcoach?
It depends on passenger numbers, trip frequency, accessibility, baggage, parking, and operating resources. A smaller vehicle or charter service may fit some ministries better. Start with your actual needs.
Does church ownership remove driver or safety requirements?
Do not assume an exemption. Vehicle size, use, routes, and state and federal rules can affect licensing and operating requirements. Review the planned use with your insurer and the appropriate transportation authorities.
Are repairs, delivery, or a warranty included?
Inclusions vary by coach and transaction. Ask for an inspection, itemized work scope, delivery arrangement, and any warranty in writing. The final purchase agreement controls.
